TEROSON® FO 1 SK - with one-sided, self-adhesive PSA hotmelt adhesive. These classic sealing products combine easy installation on window frames, with versatile use on masonry when using an additional adhesive paste. Ideally suited for uneven and even substrates. Can be used all year round thanks to TEROSON AD SP paste. This ensures safe results and versatile applications That is safe and absolutely universal.
Clean the substrate before fixing the sealing strip. The areas to be sealed must be load-bearing, sound and free from dust, release agents, oil, grease, sintered layers and other substances that may impair adhesion. All metal substrates, e.g. element surfaces of aluminum or zinc, must be free of oxide layers and release agents.
On mineral, weakly bound but load-bearing substrates it is recommended to apply a TEROSON primer. In adverse weather conditions, the use of adhesion promoters is required on mineral substrates. Particularly suitable is TEROSON PR Primer M+S.
After peeling off the 20 mm wide film, this part of the sealing strip can be fixed cleanly and efficiently to the frame/profile. Press the strip down with a hard TEROSON rubber roller. In the 2nd step, bond the sealing strip firmly to the substrate using an adhesive paste.
We recommend a TEROSON primer for mineral, weakly bound but stable substrates. In adverse weather conditions, it is always necessary to use an adhesion promoter on mineral substrates.
The adhesive width for the frame profile is 20-30mm, this is already specified by the self-adhesive strip of the respective sealing foil. The adhesive width varies from 30-50 mm depending on the structure of the product, the current technical data sheet for the product is decisive. Note: Depending on the project, the adhesive width can be increased on smooth, clean and stable substrates after consultation with the TEROSON facade expert. Also can be lower.
Overlapping film joints are glued on top of each other with a width of approx. 50 mm. An additional mechanical fastening of the TEROSON sealing foils is generally not required.
