Suitable for a variety of corrosion-protected metals
TEROSON® WT 112 DB is a beige, non-combustible, solvent-free anti-drumming agent for deadening and absorption of structure-borne sounds caused by thin-walled sheet metal structures. It’s typically used for steel and aluminum facade elements, plant and apparatus engineering, trapezoidal sheet metal ceilings, and ventilation ducts. It is based on an aqueous synthetic resin dispersion with flame retardant additives, and is applied by spray and spatula. It offers high acoustic effectiveness and thermal insulation capabilities.
The surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease or other anti-adhesive substances. Application of a special adhesion-promoting primer is not necessary. However, non-galvanized sheet steel and non-anodized aluminum must be pretreated with a suitable waterproofing anti-corrosive coating.
TEROSON WT 112 DB is supplied in a workable consistency that has been formulated for application by air-atomized spraying (secondary air injection). If necessary, stir the compound before use, normally after a storage period of more than 3 months. TEROSON WT 112 DB can be applied within a temperature range of +10 to +40 °C; the most favorable working temperature is between +15 and +25 °C.
The product is applied in a ratio of 2:1, i.e. 2 mm material on 1 mm thin sheet metal.
Yes, the product is very low in emissions and has the EMICODE EC1 plus certificate.
No, however, the product can be processed up to + 10 °C. However, the optimum temperature is +15°C to +25°C.
